Time Goes On at the 2010 Scotland County Antique Fair
The theme for the 2010 Scotland County Antique Fair was Time Goes On, and so to does this time-tested celebration thanks to the efforts of some many volunteers headed by the Antique Fair Committee.
Those efforts once again paid off royally for the community as large crowds attended the nightly events on the square Thursday and Friday while packing the site all day on Saturday before moving on to the fairgrounds and the airport for Sunday’s finales.
The committee submitted the following results from a number of the activities:
Poker Run
The top three winners for the Tractor Poker Run were as follows: First place went to Danny Doscher, Jr., second place went to Grace Gerber, and third place went to Dewayne Durham.
Tractor Games Results
The top three winners for the Chain Drag were as follows: First place went to Danny Doscher Jr., second place went to Ron Brown, and third place went to Brian Briggs.
The top three winners for the Ball Drop were: First place went to Jason Steele, second place went to Dewayne Durham, and third place went to Brian Dalton.
The top three winners for the Barrell Roll were: First place went to Andrew Doscher, second place went to Danny Doscher Jr., and third place went to James Dalton.
The top three winners for the Slow Race were: First place went to Terrance Durham, second place went to Larry Tinkle, and third place went to Gene Brown.
The winner for the Fast Race Start was Jason Steele.
The top three winners for the Ball Touch were as follows: First place went to Andrew Doscher, second place went to James Dalton, and third place went to Dewayne Durham.
The top three winners for the Wagon Backing were: First place went to Melinda Briggs, second place went to Brian Briggs, and third place went to Jason Steele.
The top three winners for the Tractor Push were as follows: First place went to Terrance Durham, second place went to Andrew Doscher, and third place James Dalton.
$100 Winners
The winners of the $100 were: Thursday night was Kristie Eggleston, Friday night was Sis Tate, and Saturday night was Tom Priebe.
Quilt Winner
The winner of the Quilt on Saturday night went to Lila Spray.
Tractor Show
The winner for the Best Restored Antique was to Molly Kaldenberg for her 1936 R.C. Case.
The winner for the Best Restored Classic was Garry Danner for his 1959 Gold 881 Ford.
The winner for the Oldest Tractor was David and Scarlett Mohr for their 1930 Farmall Regular.
The winner for the Farthest Distance went to Kris and Linda Johnston from Columbus Junction, Iowa for the Avery.
Garden Tractors
The winner of the Oldest Garden Tractor went to Calvin Meier for his Homesteader.
The winner of the Farthest Distance went to Brian Dalton from Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
The winner of the Best Restored Tractor went to Doc Wiggins for his Gravely 812.
Engine Show
Bob Benton won all three categories for the Oldest, Best Restored, and Farthest Distance in the Engine Show.
Restored Machinery
The Best Restored Machinery was won by Johnny Erickson for his Planter.
