Tickets to Go On Sale Saturday for 2010 Old Lake Bash
Northeast Missouri’s biggest one day annual party will be back in Memphis this summer. Four nationally-touring tribute bands from all over the United States, plus four area bands will take the stage at the 2010 Old Lake Bash on August 7th.
Ice cold beverages will be available as well as food from several vendors.
“Our entire goal as a non-profit is to make the entire event highly affordable for everyone who attends,” said Jason Bradley, one of the event’s organizers. “We just need to make enough to pay the bills.”
Bradley stated last year, which marked the return of the Old Lake Bash, the organization was able to make enough to pay the bills and still have some left over to make a donation to the city’s park system as well as help support a local high school basketball team.
“We’ve gone even bigger this year - more bands, bigger stage and more fun!, if that is possible,” Bradley said.
Camping will be available at the old lake as part of the event and new this year will be a special parking area for motorcycles to cater to bike enthusiasts.
The band lineup for the 2010 Old Lake Bash is:
• BACK IN BLACK — Kickin AC/DC Tribute – Atlanta, Georgia
• Paradise City — Guns N Roses Tribute – Kansas City, Missouri
• Dead or Alive – Bon Jovi Tribute – Cincinnati, Ohio
• American Fool – John Mellecamp Tribute – Dallas, Texas
• Cohesion – Classic rock, modern rock – Memphis, Missouri
• Bruce Poe Band – Classic rock, Jam, Country – Columbia, MO
• Unwritten Rulz – Modern rock – Kansas City, Missouri
• Full Throttle — Classic/Modern rock — Kahoka, Missouri
When the AC/DC Tribute is done playing to cap off the main show, the Bash won’t end. The Official OLB After Party kicks off at that point on a separate stage with some Acoustic Thunder provided by Mitch Prather and special guests.
“Fire pit, lawn chairs, cold drinks, music and the beautiful Missouri August nighttime weather... you’ll never want to leave,” said Armstrong.
The gates open at 3 p.m. with music starting at 4pm. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Organizers will be set up this Saturday, July 10th selling advance tickets and T-shirts. Additional merchandise will be available at the Old Lake Bash as well.
This year’s event is sponsored in part by Briggs & Reuschel Law Firm, S&P Performance, FredWrecks Collision Repair and The United States Marine Corps.
