Chamber Seeking Feedback on Proposed Beautification
Paying your electric bill isn’t always a bunch of roses, but the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce is hoping to make the trip to city hall a little more flowery, not only for the utility customers but the community as a whole.
The MACC is considering a beautification project that would call for the distribution of tulip bulbs to property owners when they stop in to pay their electric bill at Memphis City Hall.
“We just want to know if you were given free tulip bulbs when you pay your utility bill, would you be willing to plant them in your yard so they could be seen from the street?” said MACC member Dr. Harlo Donelson.
The Chamber is seeking public feedback on the proposed city beautification project. You can drop a note at 125 S. Main Street or call or contact a chamber member to share opinions on the proposed project as well as share ideas for additional opportunities to improve the community.
