Memphis Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash
A Memphis man suffered moderate injuries in a motorcycle accident in Memphis on Monday, May 24th at approximately 3:15 p.m.
According to the Memphis Police Department, George Owings was northbound on Highway 15 on a motorcycle. Joel Myers of Memphis was stopped at the intersection of Highway 15 and Monroe Street. He attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 15 and pulled into the path of Owings.
The motorcycle impacted the front bumper of the truck as it tried to avoid the collision before ultimately coming to rest in the roadway.
Owings was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Hospital. He was then transported by Air Evac helicopter to Columbia.
