Downing Man Arrested on Burglary/ Theft Charges
A Downing man was arrested without incident on February 17 in Scotland County on a Schuyler County felony warrant.
Darin E. Anders, 35, was taken into custody at approximately 7:10 p.m. on February 17th by Scotland County Sheriff’s Department deputies at a private residence just outside of Downing, located in Scotland County.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Anders in Schuyler County after the court found probable cause to believe he had committed the Class B felony crime of burglary in the first degree, two counts of Class C felony theft of a firearm, and one count of class A misdemeanor theft.
The sheriff’s department had received information that the defendant had been seen at the residence.
Anders was transported by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department.
The arrest warrant had been issued on January 29, 2010 in Schuyler County Circuit Court by Judge Stephen K. Willcox.
