Timber Ridge Golf Course to Host Benefit Dinner/Auction
An enormously successful dinner banquet helped Timber Ridge Golf Course retire its debt several years ago. The country club will return to the fundraiser circuit this Saturday in an effort to raise money to help offset costs of maintaining the nine-hole course located just south of Memphis on Highway 15.
The public is invited to attend a special dinner and auction at the Memphis V.F.W. on February 20th. Happy hour starts at 4:30 p.m. with a pork loin dinner set to begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 each and will include the meal and refreshments.
An auction of donated items will start at 7:00 p.m. with proceeds going toward course maintenance and upkeep costs. The auction will feature a two-night stay and two free 18-hole rounds of golf at Dogwood Hills in the Lake of the Ozarks; a vintage Pepsi-Cola vending machine, a touch screen video game, a recliner, a lifetime subscription to the Memphis Democrat, Mizzou basketball tickets, SC Speedway passes and much more. Hundreds of dollars in gift certificates have been donated by local merchants and will be up for sale along with golf accessories, clothing, hair care products, artwork and collectibles.
The golf course will raffle off a 46Ē big screen Vizio LCD television set as well as a hand-crafted poker table. The entertainment will feature several other games of chance as well as a putting contest with prizes.
To purchase raffle tickets or to make a donation to the auction, please contact Roger Robinson at 660-465-8995. Dinner guests are also asked to RSVP to that number to allow for meal planning.
The event is open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the country club or a golfer to attend this entertainment event.
The fundraiser will kick off TRGCís membership drive that is featuring an amazing offer that expires at the end of March. Any member that recruits a new member or brings back a past member, will pay just $250 for their family membership while securing the same cost for the new member.
