Theatre to Host Beauty and the Beast Marionette

The Memphis Theatre will host a special performance of Beauty and the Beast this Saturday courtesy of the Elsenpeter Marionettes and the Memphis Community Players.

The performance will be Saturday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. and will be free of charge to the public.

Beauty and the Beast is a classic tale that appeals to children because of its mystery, suspense and romance, while also catering to adults because of the true meaning of human nature and love.

This rendition was specifically written for the Elsenpeter Marionette Theatre and every detail has been carefully designed to achieve a perfect dramatic production in miniature. Mr. Elsenpeter’s skillful manipulation of the marionettes transforms the 2-foot tall, hand-carved wooden dolls into living characters with definite personalities.

Beauty and the Beast is a legendary fantasy that has touched the hearts of millions of people throughout the world and remains one of the most perfect programs that the Elsenpeter Troupe has ever produced.
