SCR-I Teacher Hurt in Crash Near Glenwood
A local teacher and her sister were injured in a one-car crash in Schuyler County on December 30, 2009.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Erin J. Tallman, 26, was northbound on Route AA in a 2005 Chevrolet Blazer when the vehicle slid off the roadway and began to overturn before it struck a highway sign and a fence.
Tallman suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Schuyler County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She was then transported by Scotland County Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
A passenger in the vehicle, Kayla Frederick, 18, of Greentop, the sister of the driver, sustained minor injuries. She was transported by Schuyler County Ambulance to SCMH in Memphis.
The accident occurred at 3:00 p.m. approximately three miles south of Glenwood in Schuyler County.
The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department and the Schuyler County Fire Department.
