Tiger Golfers Finish Third in Conference Meet
The Scotland County Tigers golf squad took third place in the recent Tri-Rivers Conference meet held at the Timber Ridge Golf Course in Memphis on May 4th.
Brookfield claimed the conference championship with a team score of 331, edging out Clark County by seven strokes. The Tigers tied Putnam County for third place with a team score of 357. Rounding out the standings were Milan with a 378 and Schuyler County with a 385.
Zach Nixon of Clark County had the top individual score, shooting a round of 75. Ritnee Smiley of Milan finished second with a round of 78 followed by Michael Campbell of Clark County with an 81, Weston Tschannen and Josh Teeter of Brookfield with rounds of 82. Those five individuals earned first team all-conference honors.
Rounding out the top 10 individual scores and earning second team all-conference honors were:
Mark O'Toole of Brookfield with a score of 83, Derrick Tribble of Putnam County with an 83, William Tschannen of Brookfield with an 84, and Keaton Hixenbaugh of Putnam County and Kasey Dial of Scotland County with rounds of 86.
Dial topped the Tigers's score card with his 86. Brandon Garnett and Jordan Fulk both shot rounds of 90 with Jerad Fuller rounding out the team score with a 91. Michael Moore carded a final score of 104.
