LESLIE KEITH FOREMAN

Leslie Keith Foreman, 85, of Queen City, Missouri passed away at his home December 1, 2009 after a long illness.
The son of Leslie M. and Wilma (Kendall) Foreman, was born October 21, 1924, in Corydon, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Rhodes May 24, 1947, in Toledo, Iowa.
Keith is survived by his wife, Marilyn Foreman; his five children, Alan Foreman, Marshall, Missouri, Nancy (Foreman) Purk and husband Don, Belle Plaine, Iowa, Gary Foreman and wife Debra, Kirksville, Missouri, Leanna (Foreman) van Zandt, Lancaster, Missouri, and Evan Foreman and wife Debby, Kirksville, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Jeff Purk and wife April, Rodney Purk, Donnie Purk and wife Sarah, Jeremy Purk and wife Laticia, Lori Rupe, Wendy Foreman, Vicky Foreman, Christina Foreman, Nathan Foreman, Zachary van Zandt, Aliah Foreman; and two step-grandsons, Chuck van Zandt and Chad van Zandt; fourteen great-grandchildren, Keith Purk, Jeff Purk Jr, Darrian Purk, Maddox Purk, Cayllen Purk, Keon Purk, Kena Purk, Abbey Rupe, AJ Rupe, Brett Sisson, Austin Sisson, Kyler Sisson, Devon Moore, Mckayla Moore; and two step-great-grandchildren: Ethan and Eon; two brothers, Donald Foreman and wife Karlene Toledo, Iowa and Wayne Foreman and wife Dorothy Toledo, Iowa; sister-in-law Nancy (Rhodes) and husband Bill Long, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister Lucile Estes; and two great-grandchildren, Gregory Alan Foreman and Tiana Purk.
Keith worked at many jobs; packing plant, seed corn plant, construction, nursing home, etc. but farming was his passion. He and his family were dairy farmers for many years. He enjoyed gardening and lawn care, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Funeral services were held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri, on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Leanna van Zandt, pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Twila Anderson. Special selections were “In The Garden”, “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Daddy’s Hands”. Pallbearers were grandsons, Jeffrey Purk, Donnie Purk, Rodney Purk, Jeremy Purk, Zachary van Zandt and Nathan Foreman.
Memorials have been established for the Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Missouri or Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
Burial was in the Thomas Cemetery, south of Lancaster, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
