BEVERLY JEAN MARTIN
Beverly Jean Martin was born in Newport, WA, on April 25, 1949 to Lester and Faye (Chaffins) Shaw.
She passed away from this life to eternity on February 6, 2009 to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was just recently baptized and joined the Lancaster Christian Church. She was greatly relieved to accept the Lord as her Savior and thrilled to know she would spend eternity in the Lordís Kingdom.
Beverly attended school in Kooski, ID. After she graduated high school, she was employed in Washington, DC for the FBI. She had the pleasure to meet J. Edgar Hoover many times. To further her ambitions, she moved to Seattle, WA, where she worked in business.
She was married to Robert K. Rainey in April 1970 and to this union two sons were born, Brock Duane and Eric Keith. They later moved to the Grinnell, IA area where she worked for G.T.E.
Beverly was married to Ricky Lane Martin on June 30, 1989 at the Lancaster Christian Church and to this union one daughter was born, Kirby Alane. She has resided in Lancaster since this time. Beverly was a secretary and owner of Midland Construction Company.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Rickey Martin of Lancaster, MO; two sons, Brock Duane Rainey of San Juan Islands, WA and Eric Keith Rainey and wife, Sarah of Winston, MO; one daughter, Kirby Alane Banks and husband, Tim of Spokane, WA; two grandsons, Alex Rainey of Winston, MO and Damien Rainey of Washington state; Three brothers, James Shaw of Tustin, CA, Lester Shaw of Sandpoint, ID, and Timothy Shaw and wife, Rose of Boise, ID; four sisters, Barbara Baron and husband, Mike of Boise, ID, Patricia Robinson and husband, ďBudĒ of Spokane, WA, Louise Vogel of Garden City, ID and Pamela Barella of Pueblo, CO; her step-father, Earl Kapfer of Baring, MO; one step-brother-in-law, Carl Kapfer and wife, Nancy of Memphis, MO; one sister-in-law, Rhonda Tarr of Edina, MO and other family members.
Funeral services were held on February 11, 2009 with Steve Altheide, pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church of Lancaster, MO, officiating. Music was provided by organist Maureen Watkins and soloist Cole Tippett. Pallbearers were Bill McBee, Cameron Miller, Mike Gray, James Nagel, Larry Hubbard and Charles Parsons. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Relay For Life or Hospice. Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
