Three Teens Hurt In Crash Near Downing
Three local teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle accident south of Downing at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday night, August 29th.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kylie E. Antal, 16, of Lancaster, was southbound on Route V, two miles south of Downing in a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. The vehicle ran off the east side of the roadway where it overturned and came to rest on its top.
Antal suffered moderate injuries in the crash. She was transported by Schuyler County Ambulance to Northeast Missouri Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Two passengeres in the vehicle were also hurt. Chelsi J. Holton, 12, of Memphis, suffered moderate injuries. She was taken by Schuyler County Ambulance to Northeast Missouri Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. A second passenger, Kelsey L. Justice, 15, of Memphis, suffered minor injuries. She was taken by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Antal and Justice were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident according to the patrol report.
