Memphis, MO. ó In 2010 Chris Tinkle will have been involved with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life for ten years as our Survivorship chairperson! Chris is looking for a Survivor co-chair for the 2010 Relay For Life of Scotland County and this person would take over as Survivor chair in 2011.
ďI get such gratification working with cancer survivors, volunteering my time helping to celebrate their survivorship means more to me than I can say,Ē says Chris Tinkle
ďThe American Cancer Society could not operate without the valuable contributions of volunteers like Chris said Brenda Carlin, Community Manager, for the American Cancer Society. ďAs the nationís largest voluntary health organization, we depend upon volunteers to carry our patient support programs and services directly into the community. Volunteers are also critical in raising money the American Cancer Society uses to fund research, advocacy, education, programs and services.Ē
ďChris Tinkle has been very active in Relay For Life for the last 10 years,Ē said Brenda Carlin for the American Cancer Society. ďWhile Chris will still be involved in Relay For Life, she is ready to get a new person involved and bring new ideas to survivorship. ďChris is a dedicated volunteer and supports her community in the fight against cancer.Ē
