Two Local Men Hurt in ATV Crashes
A pair of Scotland County drivers were injured in two separate all-terrain vehicle crashes last week.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Gorin man sustained minor injuries in an ATV accident on March 10th in Gorin.
Carroll D. Peterson, 40, was northbound on Santa Fe Street on a 2003 Polaris when he lost control of the vehicle as he was attempting to enter Route U. The ATV overturned.
Peterson suffered minor injuries and was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.
The accident occurred at 4:35 p.m.
A second ATV crash was reported by the Highway Patrol on March 14th at 7:30 p.m.
Dean S. Troutman, 46, was operating a 2007 Polaris on a county gravel road, two miles east of Luray in Clark County, when the vehicle overturned during a turn and came to rest on the driver.
Troutman suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
