Three Tigers Earn Tri-Rivers All Conference Football Honors

Three Scotland County Tigers were honored by the coaches of the Tri-Rivers Conference this week when the leagueís post season awards were handed out.

Senior Bradley Hamner was named to the third team all-conference offensive line. Kyle Shelley, a junior, was named to the third team at linebacker. He was joined on the third team defense by senior Caleb Kittle who was honored at the defensive back position.

Conference champs Clark County dominated the post season awards. The Indiansí Matt Smith was named Coach of the Year as he prepares to lead his team into the Missouri Class 2 quarterfinals this weekend. Clark County running back Javis Vineyard was named the Player of the Year in the conference.

Vineyard and three teammates, quarterback Ethan Allen (senior), wide receiver Matt Morrow (senior) and offensive lineman Corey Seth (senior) were all unanimous selections to the first team offense. They were joined on the first team by teammates Bryan Plenge (senior wide receiver), Mason Owen (junior tight end), and linemen Michael Brennan and Lynn Williams (both seniors). Vineyard actually was named to the first team twice on offense, at running back and kick returner.

Rounding out the first team were running back Daniel Jones (senior) of North Shelby; offensive linemen Will Paalhar (senior) of Brookfield and Dahn Kemp (senior) of North Shelby; and kicker Cameron Kirmse (junior) of Knox County.

The second team offense consisted of quarterbacks Colby Bailey (senior) of Brookfield and Keenan Gillaspy (junior) of Knox County; running backs Bryce Richardson (senior) of Milan; and Josh McEwen (senior) of North Shelby; receivers Christian Cunningham (junior) of Schuyler County and Austin Lindsey (junior) of Brookfield; tight end Dennis Dent (senior) of Knox County; linemen Jon Swift (senior) of Brookfield; Jacob Moots (senior) of Knox County, Brandon McDonald (senior) of Milan, Nolan Otto (junior) and Jaimie Bevill (senior) both of North Shelby; kick returner Alex Daniels (junior) of North Shelby; and kicker Edgar Bahena (senior) of Milan.

The third team honorees were: quarterback Levi Miles (junior) of Putnam County; running backs Eric Sprouse (senior) of Brookfield and Lucas Hudson (senior) of Knox County; receivers Cameron Kirmse (junior) of Knox County and Cody Peterie (senior) of Milan; tight ends Logan Hill (senior) of Milan and Ryan Falconer (senior) of Brookfield; linemen Dusty Parks (senior) of Brokfield, Greg Hodges (senior) and Ethan Richardson (senior) both of Milan, Jason Bicshel (junior) of North Shelby, Cyle Heidenwidth (senior) of Putnam County, Greg Buckallew (senior) of Schuyler County, Bradley Hamner (senior) of Scotland County; kick returner Levi Miles, Bryan Plenge and Cody Peterie; and kicker Jesse Christopher (sophomore) of North Shelby.

The first team defense was headed up by a pair of unanimous choices from Clark County, defensive linemen Michael Brennan and Corey Seth. They were joined by teammates Lynn Williams on the defensive line, Javis Vineyard and Kolt Kiger at linebackers and Bryan Plenge and Ethan Allen at defensive back. Plenge was also named the first team punter.

Rounding out the first team were North Shelbyís Nolan Otto (senior) at defensive line and Dahn Kemp (senior) at linebacker; Milanís Bryce Richardson (senior) at linebacker; and Putnam Countyís Levi Miles (junior) at defensive back.

The second team defense consisted of Brock Wine (junior) of Brookfield, David Hinkle (junior) of Knox County, Jason Bischel (senior) of North Shelby, Will Paahler (senior) of Brookfield, and Jacob Moots (senior) of Knox County on the defensive line; linebackers Andy Greenley (junior) of Knox County; Josh McEwen (senior) of North Shelby, Jake Shipley (senior) of Putnam County; and Aaron Sprouse (senior) of Brookfield; defensive backs Cody Peterie (senior) of Milan, Alex Daniels (junior) of North Shelby, and Austin Lindsey (junior) of Brookfield; and punter Keenan Gillaspy (junior) of Knox County.

The third team defensive honorees were Brandon McDonald (senior) and Tevin Mendenhall (senior) both of Milan, Ryan Falconer (senior) of Brookfield and Michael Coe (senior) of North Shelby on the defensive line; linebackers Lucas Hudson (senior) of Knox County, Daniel Jones (senior) of North Shelby, Kyle Shelley (junior) of Scotland County, and Mike McCulloum (sophomore) of Brookfield; defensive backs Ryan Henderson (junior) of North Shelby, Caleb Kittle (senior) Scotland County, and Dylan Devoy (senior) of Brookfield; and punter Jessup Englert (junior) of Putnam County.
