Hazel Orf, age 89, of Memphis, Missouri passed away Friday, October 17, 2008 at Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.

The daughter of Felix and Rose Bueter Hustedde she was born November 9, 1918 in Bowling Green, Missouri.

Hazel Hustedde was lovingly married to Victor Orf in St. Clement, MO on April 30, 1946 and moved to Memphis in 1951. To this union four girls were born, Janice, Vicki, Debbie and Lori.

Surviving relatives are husband, Victor Orf; and daughters, Janice Seeley and husband Jim, Vicki Long and husband Dean, Debbie Frederick and husband Richard, and Lori Trueblood and husband David. Grandchildren are Todd Anderson and wife Brandy, Shawn Anderson, Josh Newman and wife Liz, Jennifer McMinn and husband Ken, Jeff Frederick and wife Emily, Logan Trueblood and Cara Trueblood. Great-grandchildren are Ryan and Rylee Newman, Kaitlyn and Haylee McMinn and Lilly Frederick.

Hazel was a school bus driver for 20 years but her main job was here with us, being the best wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma, in the whole wide world.

Hazel loved to play cards and work crosswords. Her friends and family meant the world to her. God be with her.

Memorials are suggested to St. Johnís Catholic Church and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison Memphis, MO 63555.

Mass for Christian burial was held October 20, 2008 at the St. Johnís Catholic Church with Father Bill Kottonstette and Father Joseph Hoi officiating. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dean Long, Todd Anderson, Shawn Anderson, Jeff Frederick, Richard Frederick, Jim Seeley, Logan Trueblood, David Trueblood and Josh Newman

Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, MO.
