Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri Opens Doors on New Memphis Branch

After more than a year in the works, the community got its first look at the newest branch of the Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri when the Memphis facility hosted its official open house on Tuesday, November 25th.

Bank president Paula Fox of the Kahoka branch and Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce president Chuck Kigar joined the Memphis bank staff for a special ribbon cutting process at the new facility.

The bank opened the doors on the new bank on November 10th. Nearly two years earlier, Exchange Bank came to Memphis, opening a loan production office adjacent to Kay Eggleston Bookkeeping & Tax Service. The bank expanded to offer full service, moving to a temporary home located at the future site of the bank in October of 2007.

After 13 months of operating out of the temporary location, the six-person staff relocated to the spacious new bank facility in speedy fashion, opening for business in the new site the day before Veteranís Day.

The move opened the door for several new and expanded offerings. The new facility features three drive-thru lanes as well as a 24-hour ATM machine also available to drive-up customers. The construction of the new bank vault expanded the offering of safety deposit boxes further augmenting the standard financial services available at the bank such as checking and saving accounts, all types of loans and certificates of deposit (CDs). Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri offers internet banking as well as the convenience of on-line bill pay.

The Memphis Branch staff consists of branch manager and assistant vice president Joe Fulk, assistant vice president and loan officer Henry Blessing, administrative assistant Debbie Briggs, tellers Missy Monroe and Melissa Anders and part-time teller Travis Trueblood.

Exchange Bank of Northeast Missouri currently has six branch banks in Kahoka, Memphis, Shelbyville, Lancaster, Queen City and Palmyra as well as a loan production office in Unionville.
