Four Hurt In Crash Near Downing
A Downing man and three passengers in his vehicle were injured in a one-car accident that occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. on October 25th in Schuyler County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Eric G. Dickerson, 29, of Downing was driving eastbound on Route V, two miles west of Downing in a 2003 Land Rover Discovery. The vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, traveled through a fence, crossed the roadway, traveled through another fence and overturned several times.
Dickerson sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported by Schuyler County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Three passengers in the car also were injured. Andrew J. Boyer, 23, of Memphis suffered moderate injuries. Patricia A. Howes, 37, of Memphis and Tonya L. Kice, 29, both of Memphis, were seriously injured in the crash. All three were transported by the ambulance service to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. None of the passengers were wearing seatbelts.
Dickerson was charged with driving while intoxicated. Additional charges are pending.
