Community Players to Perfrom Meet Me In St. Louis Musical
ďMeet Me In St. LouisĒ, the summer musical being produced by the Memphis Community Players, Inc., takes place in St. Louis on the brink of The Louisiana Purchase Exposition Worldís Fair in 1904. The romantic musical was adapted from a series of short stories by Sally Benson. Judy Garland starred in the film version and debuted the standards ďThe Trolley SongĒ and ďHave Yourself a Merry Little ChristmasĒ.
The production opens Tuesday, July 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Memphis Theatre and continues through Saturday, July 19.
Sheila Berkowitz is directing the production and Dr. Dan OíDonnell is musical directory with Ann Luther as accompanist.
