Kids Fishing Clinic Set For Saturday
You donít need to travel far or own a boat to take your kids fishing and make memories for a lifetime. Throughout the year the Missouri Department of Conservation and sponsoring organizations provide young anglers and their families with lots of opportunities to learn to fish and enjoy the sport.
MDC will partner with the local chapter of Pheasants Forever to host a kidsí fishing clinic in Memphis on Saturday, June 7th.
Participants simply need to bring a fishing pole to the Memphis City Water Plant where Conservation Agent Gary Miller and local PF volunteers will provide the bait for two hours of fishing fun at the plantís water impoundment.
Organizers will provide soda and barbecued hamburgers following the event when prizes will be awarded to the participants.
The fishing clinic will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon. For more information contact Gary Miller at 328-6380.
June 7-8 are Free Fishing Days in the State of Missouri meaning no license is required to fish on those days. Children age 15 and younger are not required to have a fishing license in Missouri.
