Downing Man Hurt in Crash on U.S. 136

A Downing man suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 136 two miles east of Downing at 10:45 p.m. on March 8th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jesse W. Ketchum, 24, was westbound in a 1994 Dodge when the truck went off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the truck went off the left side of the road where it struck an embankment and nearly overturned.

Ketchum was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

The patrol was assisted at the scene by Scotland County Fire & Rescue, Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the ambulance service.
