Newman Claims Men’s League Tourney Title
Bob Newman was the lone golfer to break par with his final score as he finished five strokes ahead of the rest of the field at the Timber Ridge Golf Course Men’s League Championship golf tourney held Sunday, September 16th.
Newman shot a round of 82, but finished with an adjusted score of 64. His 18 handicap produced a net score of four under par for the Memphis golfer.
James Parker took second place in the event, tying for the best overall scratch score with a 77. With an eight handicap, Parker finished with a net score of 69.
Donnie Middleton, Chipper Harris and Mike Frazier rounded out the top five.
Middleton shot an 86, minus a 16 handicap to card a 70. Harris and Frazier both finished with net scores of 71. Frazier shot a 77 with a 6 handicap and Harris finished with a scratch round of 79 and an 8 handicap.
