EDNA Z. HUBER

Edna Z. Huber, 69, of rural Knox City, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 10, 2007, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.
Edna was born on September 15, 1938, in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of David N. and Lydia Zimmerman Martin.
On August 30, 1958, in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, Edna married John David Huber and to this union fourteen children were born.
Edna and John David left Pennsylvania and moved to Knox County, Missouri, to farm and raise their family, in 1973.
They are members of the Millport Mennonite Church southwest of Rutledge, Missouri. Edna served as a mid-wife assisting in bringing numerous children into the world.
Edna is survived by her husband, John David Huber; fourteen children, Lorraine and her husband Walter Martin of Waterloo, New York, Ruth and her husband Mervin Hoover of Rutledge, Missouri, Earl and his wife Edith Huber of Knox City, Missouri, Esther Mae and her husband Edwin Ramer of Gorin, Missouri, Kathryn and her husband Glenn Zimmerman of Arbela, Missouri, Susan and her husband Jerry High of Arbela, Missouri, Edna and her husband Lloyd Ramer of Rutledge, Missouri, Grace and her husband Clifford Martin of Edina, Missouri, Martha and her husband Abraham Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri, Elva and her husband James Hoover of Baring, Missouri, Nancy, Elizabeth, Marian and Mary Ellen Huber all of the home in Rural Knox City, Missouri; eighty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers, Ivan and his wife Esther Martin of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, Clarence Martin of Clyde, New York, and David and his wife Lovina Martin of Myerstown, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Ada Martin of Stouchsburg, Pennsylvania and Lydia and her husband Paul Zimmerman of Rutledge, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Arlene Martin of Pantego, North Carolina; a brother-in-law, William Brubaker of Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania; along with numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and a host of friends.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, David and Lydia Martin; one granddaughter; one brother, Norman Martin; two sisters, Esther Brubaker and Anna Mary Martin.
Funeral services were held December 14, 2007 at the Millport Mennonite Church, southwest of Rutledge, Missouri. Burial was in the Millport Mennonite Cemetery.
Abner Oberholtzer, Carl Hoover, Earl Oberholtzer and Titus Martin officiated the service and casket bearers were Andrew Martin, LeAllan Ramer, Eldon Zimmerman, Marcus High, Lavern Ramer, and Kevin Martin.
Doss Funeral Home, 208 N. 4th Street Edina, Missouri was in charge of arrangements.
