GEORGIA KING FORSYTHE
(9/1/1933 – 12/19/2006)
Georgia Forsythe, 73, passed away December 19, 2006, at a Kirksville hospital after a long battle with cancer.
She was born September 1, 1933 to Ernest and Mina (Camden) Watkins in Coatsville, MO.
She attended school at Glenwood and Lancaster High and made her home in Schuyler County.
She married Herbert R. Forsythe on November 2, 1958. He survives.
She worked at the Scheaffer Pen Company in Fort Madison, IA, for five years and then was employed at Hollister, Inc. in Kirksville, MO, for 29½ years.
After retiring, she collected miniature dollhouses and spent many hours assembling and furnishing them. She also enjoyed camping and vacation trips.
Surviving is a sister, Camille (Robert) Harris of Bowling Green, OH; a niece, Melody (Morris) Wiemken; their children, Brent and Brook and their family of Defiance, OH.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held between the hours of 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, MO. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Relay For Life. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
