HAZEL BEATRICE BRADFORD
Hazel Beatrice (Rhoads) Bradford, 91, of Memphis, MO, passed away January 21, 2007, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis.
She was born the daughter of John Joe and Mary Lee (Fetters) Rhoads on July 28, 1915 in Sullivan County, Missouri.
Hazel married Ora Winford Bradford on September 1, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1983.
She was a member of the Memphis United Methodist Church. Prior to entering the Scotland County Care Center, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and most of all, her grandchildren. Hazel worked for many years at Cash Cleaners and later at Rose Hardware. She also helped Ora in the shop he ran. She was a good mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, June Carder; son-in-law, Orville Campbell; three brothers, Melvin, Harold, and Glen Rhoads; and a sister, Wilma Wood.
She is survived by her daughters, Norma and husband Larry Riney of Memphis and Mary Campbell of Hannibal, MO; brothers, Basil Rhoads of Unionville, MO, Marion and his wife Clarene Rhoads of Liberty, MO, and Vernon and wife Verla Rhoads of Green City, MO; grandchildren, Eric and wife Lana Corwin of Gallatin, MO, Carol Riney of Columbia, MO, Vicki and husband Mike Ahland of Memphis, Mark and wife Vicki Corwin of Gallatin, MO, Jean and husband Tom Dunaway of New London, MO, and Darin and wife Grethlyn Riney of Richmond, IN; great-grandchildren, Kayce and Logan Corwin, Kevin, Johnathan, Morgan, and Landon Corwin, Hannah Dunaway, Paige and Cassidy Riney, and Geneka Markey; great-granddaughter, McKenna Lucas; two step-great-granddaughters; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
