Iowa Man Arrested For Purse Theft in Memphis

A Bonaparte, Iowa man is facing criminal charges in Scotland County following the alleged theft of a purse.

The Memphis Police Department reported the arrest of Gerald Becker following an incident on December 14th. Becker allegedly stole a purse owned by Sherrie Davis from a 1984 Chevrolet pickup in the parking lot of Shelly B’s .

The arrest was made with the aid of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
