Pheasants Forever Banquet to Give Away More Than a Dozen Guns
With more than a dozen top quality firearms to give away, the annual fundraising banquet in Memphis for Pheasants Forever promises to send plenty of guests home with a smile.
Doors will open Saturday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m. at the Memphis VFW for the NEMO Chapter of Pheasants Forever event. Guests will enjoy dinner at 6:30 with a number of games and raffles to follow along with a live auction of wildlife artwork, outdoor merchandise and much more.
Special guest, artist Greg Bordignon, will be in attendance at the event and will personally sign his artwork sold during the auction.
Youth, age 15 and younger, in attendance will be entered into a special drawing to award a 20-gauge shotgun and a .22 rifle to two lucky winners.
Tickets are on sale at Countryside Flowers or from any committee member for a Savage .270 model 14 classic rifle with a Nikon scope. The firearm will be raffled off at the event.
The banquet will feature plenty of entertainment, including a new Waterfowler’s Raffle. A lucky winner will take home a layout blind, a set of decoys and a new shotgun. The crowd favorite Mad Hatters auction will return for another year. One dozen hats will be auctioned off, each numbered 1 to 12. One number will be drawn to determine the winner of a CZ Woodcock, a 28” 12-gauge over-and-under shotgun.
There will be a special ladies’ table that will include a number of prizes for female guests ranging from roses to a new 870 20-gauge shotgun.
The numerous games and raffles, as well as the auction allow the chapter to raise money for local wildlife projects.
“One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will be used to promote wildlife habitat and conservation education in and around Scotland County, Missouri,” said chapter president Deny Clatt. “In the last year alone, we’ve put nearly $8,000 toward our mission of restoring quail and pheasant populations. But we couldn’t have done it without your support. Help us continue our mission by attending this year’s banquet.”
Tickets are available at Countryside Flowers in Memphis. Contact 660-465-8521 for more information.
“Join us for great food, fun times and support one of the most efficient wildlife organizations in America,” said Danette Clatt.
