Memphis Man Injured in Fall From Truck Bed
A Memphis man suffered serious injuries in an early-morning accident on July 8th in rural Scotland County.
Max Briggs, 21, of Memphis, was injured when he fell out of a pick-up bed at a low-water crossing on a farm near the Danny Miller residence northwest of Granger.
The accident was reported at 1:38 a.m. According to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, Briggs fell out of the bed of a pickup being driven by his brother. They were returning home after watching a fireworks display.
Briggs was stabilized at the scene by the Scotland County Ambulance Service. He was flown from the site by Air Evac helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.
