Sophomore Deidra Dochterman earned honorable mention honors on the Class 2 District 12 softball team. She was the lone SCR-I player to earn all-district honors after the Lady Tigers bowed out of the tourney with an opening round loss to Schuyler County.

Three pitchers headed the list of award winners. Seniors Jodie Schultz of Highland and Kassi Kigar of Clark County were honored along with sophomore Stacy Hines of Putnam County.

Stephanie Shultz of Highland (senior) and Tessa Casady (junior) of Putnam County were the all-district catchers.

Six infielders were honored led by junior Tara Verkiulen and senior Tensel Sandker of Schuyler County. Putnam County had three infielders honored, Katie Steele a sophomore, Britney Casady a junior and senior Julie Wilkerson. Senior Deondra Bertelli of Clark County rounded out the infield.

The four all-district outfielders were Mandy Frost and Courtney Hatfield, seniors from Putnam County, Margie Parsons of Schuyler County and Abigail Gaus of Highland.

Earning honorable mention along with Dochterman were Brooke Bankus and Cassie Essmeyer of Milan, Jackie Roberts of Schuyler County, Courtney and Kasidy Shuman of Clark County, and Marika Abbey and Samantha Murfin of Highland.
