M. Josephine Jennings, 79, of Galesburg, IL, died November 27, 2006 in OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She was born December 13, 1926 in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Pearl Raymond and Daisy Mae Stice Garrison.

She married Dorsey W. Jennings on July 30, 1946 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1998.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Lee (and Laurie) Jennings, Delong, IL, Ronald Jack (and Bonnie) Jennings, Abingdon, IL, and Donald Michael Jennings, Galesburg, IL, three daughters, Nancy A. (and Steve) Brown, Galesburg, IL, Debra Sue (and Steven) Campbell, Dahinda, IL, and Sandra Josephine (and Timothy) Walker, Joliet, IL, a brother, Richard (and Veronica) Garrison, Rocky Ford, CO, three sisters, Lucille Williams, Monmouth, IL, Ruth (and Roger) DeBuhr and Jackie (and Gary) Pouhcan, both of Donaldson, IA, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Josee Wayne Jennings, a grandson, Christian Jeremiah Jennings, four brothers, and two sisters.

She worked at the former Belscott Department Store in Galesburg and then owned and operated the A & W Root Beer Stand in Galesburg, IL. She retired in 1978. She was a member of the Red Hat Mermaids.

The funeral was held December 2 in the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with the Rev. Ray Cameron officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
