Corene Stamp, 89, Macon, MO, passed away November 25, 2006, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO, as a result of an automobile accident north of Leonard, MO, on November 24, 2006.
Mrs. Stamp was born on May 13, 1917, at Macon, MO, the daughter of George Henry and Viola Belle Sutton Allen.
She married Theordore G. “Ted” Stamp on March 11, 1939, in Macon, MO.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Macon. She worked for Con Agra and the Samaritan Hospital.
Surviving are one son, Eldon Stamp and his wife, Maxine of Falls City, NE; three daughters, Carolyn Trueblood and her husband, Arlo of Arbela, MO, Kay Scott and her husband, Gary of Memphis, MO, and Janet Epperson and her husband, Richard of Collinsville, OK; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, her twin, Lorene Donelli of Macon, MO, Lillian Basler and her husband, Leonard of Macon, MO, Hazel Kanaly of Belvedere, IL, and Margaret Shaul of Caldwell, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted on November 22, 2003; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held November 29, 2006, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Rev. Ryan Steitz officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon, MO. The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church, which may be left at the funeral home.
