REV. RONALD ROGER DAVIS

Rev. Ronald Roger Davis, 86, of McAllen, TX, formerly a Lake Nehai resident, died November 11, 2006, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, MO. He died as a result of an automobile accident.
Roger was born at West Point, IA, on August 6, 1920, to Walter and Dora (Hermuth) Davis. He married Betty Found in 1939. Two children were born to this union, James Roger Davis and Loretta Davis Haskins. He married Katheryn Kuhler on October 12, 1961 at Bolivar, MO, and she survives of the home.
Roger was a veteran of the United States Marines serving in World War II. He was a Methodist minister for 34 years retiring in 1986. Some of the churches he served in this area were at Bucklin and the Lake Nehai area and he was a member of the Lions Club at Braymer. He and his wife left the Lake Nehai area in 1995 and moved to Cameron for three years, they lived in South Texas since 1998, and in McAllen for one year.
He is survived by his wife, Katheryn A. Davis of the home in McAllen, TX; son, James Roger Davis of Sikeston, MO; three daughters, Loretta Haskins of Las Vegas, NV, Lynn Crowley of Cameron, MO, and Anna Fisher of Rothville, MO; sister, Betty Turnbow of Memphis, MO; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents; one brother; and five sisters.
Funeral services were held November 17, 2006, in the Zion United Methodist Church, Indian Grove, MO, with Rev. Bill Koch officiating. Music was by soloist, Lynn Anne Switzer and pianist, Hilda Sayler. Memorials are suggested to Katheryn Davis and may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to Delaney Funeral Home, 1720 N.
