MARJORIE (TROTH) BLAND
(7/9/1916 – 11/4/2006)

Lilla Marjorie (Troth) Bland, 90, of Memphis passed away November 4, 2006, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis.

She was born the daughter of John C. and Daisy (Brookhart) Troth in Brock in Scotland County on July 9, 1916.

Marjorie graduated from the Memphis High School.

She married Victor Earl Bland on June 16, 1937. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1981.

Marjorie was a member of the First Christian Church in Memphis. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and watching television in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, sister, and daughter-in-law.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Bland, of Omaha, NE; a granddaughter, Jennifer K. Williams and husband Kurt of Manhattan Beach, CA; a grandson, Jonathan V. Bland and his wife Jennifer Hembroff of Lakewood, CO; a brother-in-law, Walter M. (Max) Stevens of Columbia, MO; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Troth of Quincy; a niece, Mary Beth (Stevens) Traudes and her husband Herman of Columbia, MO; a nephew, Stan Stevens and his wife Kristin of Chicago; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan M. and Audrey E. Williams of Manhattan Beach, CA; great-nephews, Erik and Christof Traudes of Columbia and Alex Stevens of Chicago; and a great niece, Anna Stevens of Chicago.

Funeral services were held November 7, 2006 at the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Jack Sumption, pastor of the Memphis First Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery.
