VERLAN LAMONT ALDRIDGE
(11/11/1927- 10/25/2006)

Verlan L. Aldridge, 78, of Boonville, MO, formerly of the Downing, MO, area, died October 25, 2006, at the Riverdell Care Center in Boonville, MO.

He was born the son of Herman Aldridge and Hazel (Piper) Aldridge on November 11, 1927 in Schuyler County.

Verlan attended school in Downing. He was self-employed as a mechanic and heavy machine operator. In his spare time, Verlan raised dogs and enjoyed hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vera Louise.

He is survived by his uncle, Eugene Piper of Arbela, his aunt, Gracie Cossell of Bloomfield, IA, and several cousins.

Graveside services were October 28, at the Coffey Cemetery south of Downing. Officiating the services was Larry Smith, pastor of the Downing Christian Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Coffey Cemetery and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO, 63555.
