OSCAR A. TEDROW
(12/16/1935 – 10/9/2006)

Oscar Aaron Tedrow, 70, of Bloomfield, IA, died October 9, 2006 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Scotland County near Memphis, MO.

He was born December 16, 1935, in rural Van Buren County, IA, to Brice E. and Dorothy E. Laughlin Tedrow.

On October 16, 1955, he married Ilene M. Fickel in Batavia, IA. She died in July 1969. He then married Sally A. Jones on August 1, 1970 at the Barker United Methodist Church in Scotland County.

Oscar graduated from Douds High School and was a farmer in Van Buren County, IA and Downing, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Sally of Bloomfield, IA; two daughters, Lynda Henning of Great Falls, MT and Amanda Morris of Ft. Worth, TX; three sons, Dan of Milton, IA, Dale of Douds, IA, and Darryl Tedrow of Libertyville, IA; 20 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Tedrow of Venice, CA, and Marcia Pollock of Madison, WI; and two brothers, Joe Tedrow of Mesa, AZ, and Lawrence Tedrow of Douds, IA.

Preceding him in death were his parents, first wife, and two children, Carol and Dwain Tedrow.

Cremation was accorded with his family’s wishes.

Visitation will be open after 9:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the Henkenius-Priester Funeral Home in Bloomfield, IA, with the family present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Following visitation at 7:00 p.m. a memorial service will be held. The Rev. Kramer Smith will officiate with assistance from Barb Hagerla and Dee Wiley. Private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Barker United Methodist Church or the Mt. Moriah Cemetery Association in Van Buren County.
