Margaret Ellen Stice, 88, of Sedalia, MO died September 13, 2006 at the North Kansas City Hospital.
Family graveside services were held September 16, at the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, MO. A memorial service followed at the United Methodist Church in Memphis. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 5010 Parallel Pkwy., Kansas City, KS 66104.
Margaret was born February 19, 1918, in Downing, MO. She was raised near Memphis on a farm and in 52 years of marriage with her husband, Billy, they established a longtime home in Dallas City, IL, and after their retirement, in Bogard, MO.
She owned and operated “Handee Hobbies” craft business in Dallas City, IL, and Bogard, MO for 15 years before retiring when she was 80. She was a lifelong and active member of the Christian Church.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Billy, and daughter, Billie Campbell.
Survivors include her two daughters Sandra Holt, and Jeri Stoneking and husband John, all of Kansas City, MO; son-in-law, Clay Campbell, Sedalia, MO; sister Bobbie Chancellor and husband Miles, Memphis, MO; five grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Anne, Kristin, and Angie; and five great-grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Genevieve, John, and Paloma.
She was a petite person with boundless energy and a huge heart. She inspired many beyond her immediate family as a parent, grandparent, and friend.
Arrangements were under the direction of Porter Funeral Home & Crematory, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS.
