MARY MARGARET HAINES BAIR
(9/27/1930 – 7/15/2006)
Mary Margaret Haines Bair, 75, of Bowling Green, MO, formerly of Edina, MO, passed away July 15, 2006, at the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, MO.
She was born September 27, 1930 in Edina, MO, the daughter of Albert (Pee Wee) and Mary Ruth Billington Haines.
In 1947 at Kahoka, MO, she was united in marriage to William Cresswell Bair and he preceded her in death in 1976.
Surviving are five children, Jeannette Parker Small and husband, John of Hartsburg, MO, Harry Eugene Bair and wife, Shirley of Arbela, MO, Dennis Mark Bair and wife, Kris of Bowling Green, MO, Mila Suddarth and husband, Marshall of Annada, MO, and Jimmie Owen Bair and wife, Cindy of Battlefield, MO; three step-children, William Cresswell Bair, Jr. and wife, Janet of Quincy, IL, Mary Virginia Hamner and Marjorie Ruth Hamner, both of Luray, MO, and numerous grandchildren, including Jake Bair and wife, Danielle and family, Bobby Bair and wife, Shawna and sons, and Kim Bair, and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bair was raised in Edina, MO, where she attended school. She was employed for the Stark Brothers Nursery in Louisiana, MO, for several years and also as a Med Tech at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital at Troy, MO, for a number of years. Mary was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Louisiana, MO and the Friendship Baptist Church at Bowling Green, MO.
Mary enjoyed church activities, gospel music, cooking, sewing, Native American heritage and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Graveside services were held July 17, 2006, at the Linville Cemetery in Edina, MO, under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. The Reverend Mark Boley and Jake Bair officiated the services. Music was provided by her granddaughter, Danielle Bair. Casket bearers were Jake Bair, Bobby Bair, Mark Bair Jr., C.J. Bair, Marshall Suddarth Jr. and Scott Bair. There was no visitation. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary Margaret Haines Bair may be made to the Lincoln County Hospice.
