Vera Mae Reynolds Kenoyer, 100, of Carrollton, MO, formerly of Rutledge and Kirksville, MO, passed away June 18, 2006, in Carrollton, MO.

The daughter of Cornelius and Cora (McMillen) Reynolds she was born August 31, 1905 in Rutledge, MO.

On November 22, 1926 at Memphis, MO, she was united in marriage to Cecil Guy Kenoyer and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1993.

Her parents, sister Pauline Oliver in November 1950 and two brothers, Ornal Reynolds in March 1976, Cecil Reynolds in infancy and Robert Reynolds in 1910, also preceded her in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenoyer lived in Rutledge until they moved to Ethel, MO, where Mr. Kenoyer was employed with the Santa Fe Railroad. In 1943 they moved back to Rutledge to their home and in 1987 they moved to Kirksville, MO. to make their home.

Vera accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized by Brother Tom Spurling and was a member of the Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing and was a 4-H sewing leader. She traveled and fished with her husband in several states.

She enjoyed the wonderful caregivers at Highland Crest in Kirksville, MO, where she was a resident since August 2000 and also for the past week at her nieceís home, Doris and Merlin Armstrong in Carrollton, MO, and their caregivers.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Zela Reynolds of Rutledge, MO; two nieces, Doris Armstrong and her husband, Merlin of Carrollton, MO and Neva Corwin and her husband, Nolan of Morris, IL; Four great-nieces, Leah Shannon and her son, Spencer of Carrolton, MO, Marla Erickson and her husband, Rick and their daughter, Nicki of Marshall, MO, Connie Enger and children, Matthew and Karly Enger of Morris, IL, and Pamela Ward and her husband, Steve and their children, Greg, Melissa, Brian and his wife, Lindsey and their one son, Colton and two great-nephews, Bernard Corwin of Morris, IL, and daughters, Angelina Corwin of Peteluna, CA, and Natalie Corwin of Morris, IL, and Larry Corwin and his wife, Maria and children, Tyler and Keith of Morris, IL, and Tina Corwin and her children, Alyssia Kingman and Dillon Koshie of Las Vegas, NV.

Graveside services were held June 23, 2006 at Pauline Cemetery, Rutledge, MO, with Reverend Fred Green officiating. Mrs. Fred Green provided the music. Honorary bearers were Shelton Golden, Joe Neese, Levi Zimmerman, Roland Weiler and John Cole. Memorials may be made to the Pauline Cemetery and may be mailed or left at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1. Edina, MO 63537. Arrangements were under the direction of Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, Edina, MO.
