MAURINE HELEN PARCELL

Maurine Helen Parcell, 85, of Edina, MO, passed away May 9, 2006, at her residence in Edina, MO.
Maurine was born on May 19, 1920, the daughter of Gilvie and Ethel Linton Carder.
She was raised in the Rutledge area and attended the Brick Rural School southeast of Rutledge. She was a member of the Colony Methodist Church from the young age of 13 and had also attended the Baring Community Church in Baring, MO. Maurine was a proud member of the Colony Chapter #543 Order of Eastern Star and had received her fifty-year pin.
On April 19, 1920, in Kirksville, MO, Maurine married Roy Parcell.
She is survived by her husband Roy Parcell of the home in Edina, MO, a sister, Geraldine McReynolds of Rutledge, MO, a sister-in-law, Stella Douglass of Davenport, IA, a nephew, Tracy Hettinger of Baring, MO, three nieces, Connie and her husband Barry Delaney of Jefferson City, MO, Debbie and her husband Kriss Newman of Des Moines, IA, and Marrolyn and her husband Don Rekus of Peoria, IL, along with a host of friends.
Maurine was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Madeline Hettinger, an older sister, Wilhelmina McReynolds, and a nephew, Darrell McReynolds.
An Order of Eastern Star service was held May 10th at the funeral home in Edina, MO.
Funeral services were May 11, 2006, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend John Davison officiated the service and music was provided by Brenton Karhoff and Carol Hayes. Casket bearers were Bucky Bowen, Kriss Newman, Travis Hettinger, Barry Delaney, Matthew Delaney, and Gary Gooch.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Maurine Parcell may be left to the Baring Community Church. A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
