ELLIS LEE “BUTCH” HART
(4/1/1950 – 4/9/2006)
Ellis Lee “Butch” Hart, 56, of Memphis died April 9, 2006 at the Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
He was born the son of Webb and Ella Mae (Moreland) Hart on April 1, 1950 in St. James, MO.
Ellis worked for 20 years at the Kingsford Charcoal plant in Belle, MO. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ellis grew up on a farm and spent most of his spare time gardening. His home still has many samples of his canned harvest.
Most of all, Ellis loved his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
He is survived by: his son, Jerry Hart of LaPlata, MO; daughter, Crissy Hart of Rolla, MO; special friend Carol Dryden of Memphis; brothers, Jimmy and wife Max Hart, Johnny Hart, and Dennis and wife Sandy Hart, all of Rolla; a sister, Sis and husband Buddy Hastings of Illinois; a daughter-in-law, Mary Hart of Memphis; grandchildren, Donna Jean and Carol Sue Hart of Memphis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials have been suggested to the family and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main St., Memphis, MO 63555.
