BETTY L. BURCHAM
(2/21/1938 - 3/17/2006)

Betty L. Burcham, 68, the daughter of Paul Henry (known as Shorty) and Florence Gertrude Jansen Stevenson, was born February 21, 1938. She passed away March 17, 2006 in Christian Health Care East, Springfield, MO following an extended illness.

Betty was born near Arbela, MO and was formerly of the Morrisville, MO area before moving to Walnut Grove, MO over 20 years ago. She was a homemaker and had been employed with Litton Industries for more than 25 years. She was a member of the Fender Chapel Baptist Church.

Betty Stevenson and James Burcham were united in marriage on March 14, 1956. To this union three children were born. They were privileged to share 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gary Lee and wife Sabine Burcham; and Randy James and wife Tammy Burcham; one daughter, Kay and husband Ronnie Long; all of Walnut Grove; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; her mother, Florence Stevenson of Memphis, MO; one brother, Richard and wife Twila Stevenson of Arbela, MO; and one sister, Pauline Childress of Ewing, MO.

Services were held March 20 at the Wilson Brim Daniel Chapel in Walnut Grove with Reverend Scott Killingsworth officiating. Interment was in the Turkey Creek Cemetery in Walnut Grove, MO.
