Deer Blamed For Accident Leaving Two Teens Injured
A pair of Memphis teens sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 8:15 p.m. on October 15th in Scotland County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael C. Moore, 16, of Memphis, was driving a 1997 Pontiac eastbound on Campground Road, approximately 7.5 miles west of Memphis, when he swerved to miss a deer. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it went off the south side of the road and struck a ditch.
Moore sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis. A passenger in the car, 15-year-old Jordan A. Fulk, sustained minor injuries. He was taken by private vehicle to his residence.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by No Preference Towing.
