Carson Miller is First Baby of 2006 at SCMH
Carson Robert Miller is the first baby of the new year born at Scotland County Memorial Hospital. The young man entered the world at 5:32 p.m. on January 15th. He is the son of Robbie and Dawn Miller of Memphis.
Carson weighed seven pounds and 13 ounces and was 21 Ĺ inches long.
As the first baby born in 2006, Carson and his parents received a special package of gifts provided by various area businesses. The package included a teddy bear and beauty supplies from Barbís Family Hair Care; a $50 savings bond from Community Bank of Memphis; a pair of overalls from Cookís Mens Store; a teddy bear from Countryside Flowers; a $20 gift certificate from Memphis Farm & Home; $25 from Don F. Harrison Insurance; a collectorís model truck from Memphis Auto Parts; a gift certificate from Payne Funeral Chapel; a toddler safety-proof kit from Rose Hardware; a car seat from the Scotland County Health Department and a free membership from the Scotland County Health and Fitness Center.
Carsonís grandparents are Glen and Suzy Miller and Mike and Jeannie Drummond all of Memphis. Great-grandparents are Harry Jr. and Rose Miller, Joan Cecil and Jenny Garrett all of Memphis and Marjorie Courtois of Warsaw, IL.
