Seventh Grade Boys Wrap Up 2005 Basketball Season
The Tigers opened the year with a 44-11 defeat at the hands of Clark County. Kasey Dial topped the score book with seven points.
SCR-I got a rematch on November 8th but the results were similar as the Indians prevailed 48-8. Rod Sears led Scotland County with four points.
The Tigers fell to 0-3 with a 23-14 loss to Knox County. Dial had six points in the loss.
Logan Brassfield burst onto the scene with 17 points but Kirksville bested SCR-I 41-28 on November 11. Andy Garrett contributed two points off the bench for SCR-I.
Schuyler County bested the Tigers 34-26 on November 14 despite 15 points from Brassfield and nine by Dial.
Putnam County made it a six-game slide as the Midgets beat SCR-I 38-24 on November 16th. Brassfield had 14 points while Rod Sears added six.
The Tigers got into the win column on November 19th with a 32-10 victory over Canton. Brassfield led the charge with 16 points. Dial had six points and Bryce Smith and Dakota Wells each contributed four points.
Scotland County made it two in a row with a 36-33 win over Knox County on November 29th. Dial led a balanced attack with 10 points. Chris Doubet finished with six points. Levi Woollums pitched in with five points and Andy Garrett added four.
Schuyler County ended the winning streak with a 35-23 defeat despite nine points from Brassfield.
Canton avenged its early season defeat by besting the Tigers 17-15.
Kirksville knocked off Scotland County 36-18 to make it a three-game slide. Brassfield had eight points and Smith had five in the losing cause.
On December 11 Schuyler County beat SCR-I 34-24.
The season ended with a 53-18 defeat by Clark County. Sears had six points to lead the Tigers.
