Tigers Bomb Their Way To 77-75 Win Over Milan
The Scotland County Bombers picked up their first conference victory February 8 in Milan. Oops, it’s actually the SCR-I Tigers, but on Tuesday night they looked like Bombers as they connected on 11 three pointers en route to a 77-75 win over the Wildcats.
The three-point barrage helped Scotland County jump out to a 29-17 advantage in the game’s first eight minutes.
But Milan chipped away at the lead and pulled within 43-37 at halftime. The Tigers led by just one point, 62-61 heading into the fourth period but held on to improve to 3-16 on the year and 1-3 in league play.
Jared Shelley led the way with 20 points, including five three-pointers. Matt Wickert chimed in with 12 points while Bryce Blomme added 11 and Chris Humes had nine.
Milan fell to 5-14, 1-3 despite a 31 point-performance from Chris Dixon.
