STANLEY (BUCK) DWAYNE BULL

Stanley (Buck) Dwayne Bull, 74, a well-known prominent farmer of Scotland County, MO, departed this life October 26, 2005, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, after a prolonged illness.
He was born in Scotland County, MO, on April 27, 1931, the eldest child of Chandler Hezekiah and Velma Henrietta Dieterich Bull and was the step-son of Olive Mae Hocking Bull.
Stanley attended grade school at the Brock Country School and high school in Memphis. Stanley was a member of the Brock United Methodist Church.
On May 15, 1949 he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Patricia LaVaughn York in Gorin, MO, and to this union three children were born. They lived a happy life together always supporting each other in everything they did. ďBuckĒ and his big smile and his ďnever knew a stranger wayĒ, will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he really enjoyed.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Deborah (Debbie) Diane Burns and her husband, David of Pulaski, IA, and Ginger Royal and her husband, Earl of Apex, NC, and one son, Chedrich (Ched) Chan Bull and his wife, Jeannie of Kirksville, MO; one brother-in-law, Jerry York and his wife, Brenda of Lithonia, GA; grandchildren, Brad Burns and wife, Susan of Bloomfield, IA, Matt Burns and his wife, Annette of Sioux Falls, SD, Tammy (Burns) Smoot and her husband, Evan of Drakesville, IA, Nathan Plenge and Heather Watson of Bloomfield, IA, Afton Bull and her husband, Chad Miller and Amber Bull, all of Kirksville, MO; great-grandchildren, Kallie Mae and Chan Burns of Bloomfield, IA, Dylan and Madelyn Burns of Sioux Falls, SD, Hunter and Olivia Smoot and foster baby, Avriel of Drakesville, IA, and Hayden Watson of Bloomfield, IA; two sisters, Marilyn Cowell and Carolyn Hinds, both of Memphis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chan and Velma; his stepmother, Olive; and his wife, Patty.
Memorials have been suggested to the Brock Cemetery Fund or the Scotland County Volunteer Fire Department and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, MO 63555.
Funeral services were held October 29, 2005, at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, MO, with Chaplain Dennis Smith officiating. Interment was in the Brock Cemetery, north of Memphis, MO.
