OKIE DEEN BRADLEY

Okie Deen Bradley, 77, of Bible Grove, passed away July 27, 2005, at his home.
He was born the son of Howard and Pearle (Callahan) Bradley on May 4, 1928 on the family farm north of Bible Grove.
Okie Deen graduated from Bible Grove High School in 1945.
He served at Ft. Carson, Colorado Springs, CO, with the Fifth Armored Division of the U.S. Army from December 1951 to January 1953 during the Korean Conflict.
On February 14, 1953, he married the former Maurine Newcomb in Kirksville. She survives.
To this union, five children were born.
Both Okie Deen and Maurine were baptized into Christ on September 26, 1958.
Okie Deen served on the Bible Grove School Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Anna Fern; and a twin brother, Orvie Don.
He is survived by his wife; children: Michael and wife Cindi Bradley of Olathe, KS, Patrick Bradley of Bible Grove, Steven and wife Cindy of Lindale, TX, Joy and husband Joe Moore of Camp Point, IL, and Bruce Bradley of Warrensburg, MO; grandchildren; Heather Titterness of Kansas City, MO, Julie Sullivan of Shawnee, KS, Jeremy Bradley of The Colony, TX, Jeremiah Bradley of Frisco, TX, and Anna and Josiah Moore, of Camp Point; great-grandchildren: Connor, Lauren, and Grace Titterness, Holly Sullivan, and Rylee Bradley.
Funeral services were held July 30 at the Gerth Funeral Home in Memphis with Brother Jim O’Connor. Angela Westhoff and Ann Luther served as musicians. Bruce Bradley, Steven Bradley, Michael Bradley, Patrick Bradley, Joe Moore, and Dennis Bradley served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Bible Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Bible Grove Church of Christ Cemetery or the Scotland County Cancer Fund and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main, Memphis, MO 63555.
