Wilma J. Holcomb, 93, of Wyaconda, MO died July 13, 2005 at her home.

She was born June 21, 1912 in Clark County, Missouri, a daughter of Addison and Mary Belle Brotherton Hodges. She was married to John Kreiss having four children, later to Paul Farman, having two sons. She married William Holcomb on March 18, 1968 in Etiwanda, CA. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1980.

Wilma was a graduate of Salem High School in Salem, IA. She was a member of the Rutledge Congregation Jehovah’s Witnesses. Wilma was a real estate agent for over 20 years, working for the Red Barn Realty while living in California. She moved to Wyaconda, MO in 1985. Wilma liked to do crossword puzzles, read, travel, and loved the desert. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, teaching the Bible to them and cooking for them. The love and wonderful memories she has created with her family will never be forgotten.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Shepiro of Mountlake Terrace, WA, Maxine Kellum of Wyaconda, MO, three sons, Merle Kreiss of Keokuk, IA, Ronald Farman of Captain Cook, HI and David Farman of Tustin, CA, four stepsons, four stepdaughters, 18 grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Joe Kreiss, one grandson, David Hart, one granddaughter, Sarah Kreiss, one great-grandson, Kevin Moore, one great-great-grandson, Gavin Moore, and seven brothers, Clifton, Ivan, Alfred, Elmer, Virgil, Lewis and Kenneth Hodges.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Brother Dartly Eskew officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, rural Kahoka, MO.

Pallbearers were Richard Moore, Courtney Kellum, Joey Cleveland, Ricky Moore, David Kellum, and Zach Vanderpool.

Honorary pallbearers were Steve Kellum, Kenny Kellum, Jered Davis, and Mark Kriess. Soloist was Alan Schork.

Memorials were made to the family in care of Maxine Kellum.

The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO was in charge of arrangements.
