Memphis Boosters To Host Mizzou Sports Dinner
The University of Missouri has always had strong ties to the Memphis community. Now the school’s alumni along with fans of Mizzou sports will get a special opportunity to meet a number of the school’s big names at a special dinner for the Mizzou Athletic Boosters of Memphis.
The plans have been finalized for an exciting evening of good food and Mizzou sports talk on June 1.
“We are going to bring to you the voice of Mizzou basketball, Mike Kelly,” said organizer Dr. Harlo Donelson. “In addition to Mr. Kelly, he’s bringing another Mike, none other than MU athletic director Mike Alden.”
That’s not all. MU football coach Gary Pinkel is also scheduled to attend the event and Donelson indicated Eric Morrison, the new director of development and annual giving is hoping to make the trip.
The special event will feature a steak dinner at Keith’s Café to be followed by lots of sports talk. Tickets are $25 and limited to the first 50 reservations. For more info or to secure your ticket call 465-7770.
“Please help us welcome the Mizzou athletic department to Memphis,” Donelson said. “This is strictly by reservation only so get your tickets today.”
