Thailand Rotary Group Study Exchange Team Visits Memphis
The Scotland County Rotary Club recently hosted five Thailanders as part of the Rotary GSE (Group Study Exchange) Program for a day in Memphis. While in Memphis the team toured Memphis Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, the Memphis Theater, the town square and had lunch with the Scotland County Rotarians.
The team’s host families are from the Noon and Morning Rotary Clubs in Kirksville. The team arrived in the U.S. on April 20th and stayed with host families in Kansas City for several days before traveling to Kirksville. While staying in Kirksville the team not only visited the Scotland County Rotary Club, but they attended both the Noon and Morning Rotary Club meetings, toured Truman State University Campus and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine’s campus, the Adair County Historical Museum, and the Downtown shops. They also visited the Morning Schuyler County Rotary Club.
On the team’s last day with the Kirksville host families, they traveled to Jefferson City to tour the State Capital Building and the Governor’s Mansion.
The Team originates from Bangkok. The team leader works for Rojane Co. and also teaches marketing at a university and the team members’ occupations include: Police Captain; Foreign Relations Officer for Ministry of Public Health; Mechanical Design Engineer for Michelin Siam Co., Ltd; an Account Manager for Advertising Agency.
